What is Decentraland?

Decentraland is a 3D virtual game where you can actually build almost anything you want, only you have to pay for it with currency. It appeared back in 2020 around February and has really moved on a lot since then.

It defines itself as a virtual reality platform that runs on the Ethereum network. This decentralized virtual reality on blockchain allows users to create, experience and monetize content and applications.

In fact, it is a virtual world where you can buy land, build on it and sell it later. Enjoy interactive games, 3D scenes and much more.

This game aims to build a virtual free world in which most of the elements are in the form of NFT.

If you do the math one Mana is almost 3 dollars and if you look at some plots they are available from 4000 mana. Which translates to about 15,000 dollars and that’s really quite a lot for a virtual plot.

The world is divided into parcels that can be acquired and then built on. There is also the possibility to block any builder if you are uncomfortable with his content or himself. So you won’t see his buildings but others who don’t have him blocked will.

You can also report there, but the only one who decides on the penalty is the community. The whole community will decide if something should happen to the account or not.

Everyone would think that there must be some dirty insinuations and the like everywhere, but it is not so because these plots are quite expensive and usually no one wants to desecrate them with unnecessary insinuations or dirty buildings.

However, everyone has opportunities but until the whole project is Decentralized it is still very fragile and can end at any time.

That’s why it’s definitely great to at least try out the game and go through the different places and buildings that have already been built. It’s a very interesting experience and many people call it a virtual paradise. There are so many ways to improve your buildings that it’s really nice.

There’s nothing like it on the market yet, and a lot of people like that. However, what no one knows is what the future of this blockchain app will be and they fear that it will eventually fall into bad days.

It is worth at least a look and if you are not the richest to explore the various buildings and places in Decentraland.
